Wow.  It’s been awhile since I had my work done and the transformation has been major but most of all, the gratitude I have for Austin Cosmetic Dentistry is enormous.
I will never forget coming there not sure what to expect, and the free x-rays and consultation was luring, but seconds after talking to Dr Shiro, I was completely convinced I needed to stop procrastinating and get the work done- finely.
What Dr shiro did more than just explain my dental dilemma, was that I sincerely was my total lack of self compassion.  I had let, not only my dental health deteriorate, my my total health, and only one person would make it better, and put me in a journey to better health, and that was ME.
Dr Shiro connected me with my own self worth and the need to take care of me.  I have been caring for my own daughter, her mom, and everybody else, putting myself last.
Thank you Dr Shiro.  You reconnected me with the most important person in my life, myself.  Once I knew I my health was in trouble and I needed help, I also knew who would to the best work- Austin Cosmetic Dentistry.
Today, after months of recovery, I am on the road to super health, and an amazing sense of self love, self worth , and self assurance.  it’s not that I didn’t believe in myself.  It’s that I put my needs behind everybody else’s.  How can I be of service, if my health pulls me done and puts me out.

Austin Cosmetic Dentistry is THE place to go for a smile makeover. The staff is incredibly sweet and the doctor is remarkably talented. In your initial consultation you will be able to see photos of patients who were treated for a wide range of problems. Be prepared to be shocked by the transformations!!!  When I made my consultation appointment I was still in Invisalign trays from my orthodontist. I felt they were not working and I wanted to know what my alternatives were. After seeing all of the beautiful smiles that were made by the team at Austin Cosmetic Dentistry, I knew I had to have the same magic done to my teeth. Just a few weeks after that visit I look like a new and improved person. The doctors really listed to what I wanted and the results are better than I could have imagined!

I can’t speak highly enough about Austin Cosmetic Dentistry.  They are by far the most professional and caring staff of any dentist, or business for that matter, that i have ever been to!! I was welcomed and comforted from the moment I walked in.  I say comforted because I was EXTREMELY nervous and stressed out because of my previous experience with veneers.

About 4 years ago I had decided to make the investment in my smile and get a full mouth of veneers.  I had trusted my general dentist and he ensured that he would give me the smile i wanted.  That is where i made the biggest mistake…..going to a dentist and not a true cosmetic dentist.  After countless hours and hundreds of shots in my mouth to numb the excruciating pain I had to wear “temporaries” for nearly 2 weeks.  It was a miserable 2 weeks.  They broke twice and the first time it was over the weekend and I couldn’t get hold of the dentist until that following Monday!! When I finally had my veneers seated I was hoping they would be beautiful.  They weren’t. They were the wrong shape and color.  Not at all what I had asked for.  I ended up so unhappy that I had the completely removed and had to go through the entire process again.  It was a nightmare.  They were still totally wrong. On top of everything else, my front 2 teeth did not match the other ones!  I was so upset, but didn’t want to go through the pain to re-do them yet again. They also told me the guaranteed the veneers for 15 years, but only if I came in and had them clean my teeth every 6 months.  Well that worked out just great because I lived in Utah at the time and now I am in Austin!!   Fast forward 4 years and one evening just before bed i am brushing my teeth and one of the veneers on my front bottom tooth broke right off!!!!!!!!  I was totally freaked out!! What was I going to do???? I wasn’t going to fly back to Utah and have that same dentist screw my teeth up anymore.  

I had to get it fixed!!!! ASAP!!!! I did my research and found Austin Cosmetic Dentistry.  Their testimonials were great and I felt comfortable making an appointment for a consultation.  I originally met with Dr. Schiro.  He was extremely polite and answered all of my questions.  He ensured me that my experience with them would be entirely different.  He showed me hundreds of pictures of past and current patients and EVERY SINGLE ONE was simply AMAZING!!!!  I had gone in to get one chipped tooth fixed and left with an appointment to get a complete makeover on my teeth! 18 shiny and beautiful new veneers to be exact!!!  The day of my appointment I was a TOTAL wreck!!!!  I was sooooo nervous!  When I arrived I was greeted by Dr. Schiro and Dr. Garcia and brought to the treatment room.  Every assistant there is wonderful!! I was wrapped up in a cozy blanket, given some dark goggles to wear and an iPod to listen to, and some very very good meds to make me relax.  Within 30 minutes I felt calm and, well, totally relaxed!  Dr. Garcia is simply phenomenal at what he does.  The treatment was virtually painless and I was so well-cared for.  I left that day and felt like       I had a new family! I know that sounds silly, but you will feel that way too, trust me.  I was nervous about what my temporaries would look like, but they were beautiful and comfortable.  I couldn’t wait to get my permanent veneers.  When the day finally arrived i was super excited!!! I had the same pleasant experience as my first appointment.  I have THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SMILE EVER!!!!! It was one of the best decisions I have ever made.  Austin Cosmetic Dentistry is the only place to go to for a beautiful smile.  If you are considering having cosmetic work done on your teeth, this is the place to go……don’t bother looking any further.  They are the best of the best!!  I LOVE MY SMILE!!!  Thank you so much, ACD!!!!!!!!!!

Great cosmetic dentistry in Barton Creek!  As a walk-in patient, because I live nearby, the friendly staff set me up with Dr. Schiro.  My subsequent consultation was comprehensive and I received a complete dental cleaning.  This place has brand new equipment throughout, an inviting atmosphere, and affable staff.  Next, I received a teeth whitening kit, which I used for about 15 days and then Dr. Garcia cosmetically fixed a gap in my front teeth.  All services done at a great price.  Super cosmetic dentists in great neighborhood.  

I will be back for cleanings.  Highly recommended.

From the second I walked through the door I was completely blown away.  I felt as if I walked into the Four Season’s Spa-not a dental office.  I was immediately greeted with a welcoming smile and warm hand shake.  

I initially made my appointment due to the complimentary consultation.  I went through braces in high school but my teeth have since shifted and wanted to see if I had other options instead of going back into ortho as an adult.  My jaw dropped when I was told by Allison and Dr. Schiro that not only were braces unnecessary to give me the alignment I used to have, but it could be completed in TWO WEEKS.  I was previously told a week earlier by an orthodontist that I could be in braces for up to two years.  That is quite a difference! Of course I was skeptical and thought that it sounded too good to be true.  I decided to go ahead with treatment and I am so glad that I did!

My smile is now more beautiful than when I initially went through braces.  Dr. Garcia is a magician.  He gave me a smile that was 100 times better than I could have ever expected-pain free!  The best part about my new smile is that I do not have to worry about whitening my teeth ever again.  My new porcelain veneers DO NOT STAIN!  I can drink as much red wine as I want and still have sparkly white teeth.  

My only regret is that I did not get this treatment done sooner.  I am so grateful for  the doctors and staff at Austin Cosmetic Dentistry.  If you are even in the beginning stages of contemplating getting cosmetic work done, definitely go in for a free consultation. My beautiful new smile has truly changed my life, and it will change your life too!

My experience with this business consists of only a complimentary consultation, in which I would normally not feel compelled to write a review…but I simply had to! Dr. Schiro and his staff are quite amazing! I felt so comfortable and at ease. The inside interior is gorgeous, and makes you feel like you are at a luxurious hotel lobby with a spa-like atmosphere….definitely not the cold, scary “obviously at the dentist” feel you normally get at places like these. I was offered choices of drinks, asked how my day was going by everyone in the office, and given hands to shake. They are so welcoming and warm here (and I’m 22, I don’t usually get this type of treatment at certain businesses because they assume I’m either not serious or don’t have any money to spend with them)! I wish I could remember the name of the woman who led the consultation for me, because she is remarkable. If she runs all the consultations, you will be in great hands! She was friendly, informative, and easy to talk to. All my questions got answered, and never once did I feel rushed, pressured, or that my best interest wasn’t the focus at all times. The consultation ran for about an hour before I even saw the Dr., which I didn’t even notice the time…just how generous they were with it!! Their methods are high tech and innovating as well, I got to watch the inside of my mouth through a camera hooked up to a big screen tv, and they also offer showing you through photoshop how your veneers will look on you. Seeing their recent work in photos of the Texas beauty pageant contestants is, alone, enough to sell you on how great they are at making people look their best.

When I got to visit with Dr. Schiro towards the end, I was so impressed how honest and direct he was with me. My alignment had been shifted because of a tooth extraction a long time ago, but overall my teeth are in great shape and very straight. He recommended that I look into Invisalign instead to fix my minor problem instead of shaving down so many of my teeth to add in the appearance of an extra tooth. Even suggested a great orthodontist for me who he said does great work with affordable pricing. I’m glad he wasn’t just out to get money, and didn’t act as if all this time that they spent with me was wasted. Like I said, this practice really does make you feel like your best interest is the main focus AT ALL TIMES!

I would highly recommend him to anyone that is interested in veneers to call them up and schedule a consultation. The service you get here is incredible, and Dr. Schiro and his staff really know their stuff!

It is an understatement to say, that my life has changed, because of Austin Cosmetic Dentistry. It is obvious that someone’s life changes esthetically, after the treatment, but my experience was, that my life changed, just from having a consultation with Doctor Shiro and the entire staff. I have never felt more welcomed, and taken care of, and the advance technology used here, achieved in one visit, what took five visits to accomplish in my past experiences of dentistry. What I have gained from this wonderful care facility, is my entire well being. My health has dramatically improved because, I was not only given a big smile to show off, but I was ridden of a terrible mouth disease that was effecting my entire body, and my confidence. I am indebted to all the staff here, because I am in the best of health now, and I am so ready to excel in all my projects and contribute in a bigger way to the greater community. Again, it is an understatement to say, Austin Cosmetic Dentistry took care of me as a person with dental needs, but a person who needed a dramatic improvement in my well being. I have to tell everyone I know about this place. I can’t stop smiling. I found Austin Cosmetic Dentistry in the Statesman. They advertised painless dental procedures. I have avoided the dentist for 40 years but I knew I needed a lot of cavities filled. I went in for a consultation not knowing what to expect. I had no intention of getting any cosmetic work just a lot of filling. After talking with Dr. Schiro and Amber, realized that I could actually have a new smile in two weeks! I still did not fully believe this was possibly. I went for my first visit and met their hygienist, Megan. She was so great. Then it came time for the treatments and I was petrified. Dr. Garcia assured me I will be ok. I was even I.V. sedated, which was a great bonus!! I actually had a new smile in two week. Everything I was told and the treatment done went above and beyond my expectations. As someone used to avoiding the dental office , I now look forward to my visits with them.
The end result of my makeover has truly been a life changing experience that I would not have believed if I had not gone through it personally. What I have found is the more that I smile, the happier I am. The happier I am the more I find myself smiling. This place is amazing!! What a great experience…from the initial phone call, the initial consultation , Claudia making financing my treatment easily affordable to Dr. Garcia’s super duper restoration “smile makeover”. I had been to 2 other offices for consultations and just shopping. The docs was nice but his staff was not very knowledgeable or pleasant at those places and added cost differently than advertised. I was treated politely and was very well informed at Austn Cosmetic Dentistry. Wow, this place is beautiful. I was offered beverages, and chocolate and warm greetings from EVERYONE! I am a big dental phobic, but that Dr. Schiro assured me that I was in good hands, at the right place and that they could easily help me. I’ve now finished the process with them and have to say I HIGHLY recommend them. I only wish I’d have gotten this done several years ago.
Couple of things that might surprise you:
- You literally feel no pain or discomfort the entire time. It’s almost magic they way they have the pain killer stuff down. I couldn’t even tell they were giving me a shot in the gums as they were doing it. Any time you even begin to feel a slight amount of pain they tell you to raise your hand and they add more pain killer. Super easy.
- The end result is awesome. They really know what they are doing. They make them look completely natural and fantastic.
- Every single person you interact with at their office is super nice and helpful.
If they had 6 stars I’d give them 6. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
